Results of the recent Lean Six Sigma survey left me wondering how much have people changed their expectations regarding professional training. I asked my network and business community how they benefited from the LSS certification or how would they benefit if they obtained one.
You would be thinking of business improvement, process efficiency, problem-solving, change initiatives, cost reduction etc.
None of that was mentioned at all!
Here is what the survey revealed instead:
80% of Lean Six Sigma practitioners got a better job or higher salary once they got certified.
and
90% of Lean Six Sigma candidates are interested in the certification so they can get a better job or higher salary.
Make no mistake. Effective LSS practitioner can add tremendous value to the company. However, the motivation behind the need for certification is based on personal needs. People want to improve their professional development, boost their career prospects and earn more.
It’s a win-win situation for both the employer and the employee.
How will you benefit from LSS course?
The demand for Yellow, Green and Black Belts is out there.
Challenging times will promote those who will take the extra effort to learn new techniques and master practical tools to support business growth.
In the current business climate, you can stand out if:
- You can reduce the cost
- You can improve process efficiency
- You can remove waste
- You can solve problems
- You can replace firefighting with long term solutions
- You can manage scarce resource to achieve demanding targets
- You can communicate effectively
Sounds good? Are you ready to challenge yourself and learn something new today? Do you want the make the next step in your professional career? How would your life change if your salary increased?
Have a great day!
