Start using headphones with microphone
Laptop mic will pick up all the sounds from your surroundings – your barking dog, shouting neighbour, rumbling washing machine etc. Did you know that? That’s why headsets with mics where invented. Have I just changed your life?
Mute your mic when not talking
“Guys, can you put your mics on mute please?” again and again and again and again and again and again…
I haven’t found training material that’s good enough to teach people what is the purpose of the MUTE button and how to use it. If anyone has any success in that PLEASE give me a shout!
